I love programming.
I made the decision about 5 years ago that I wanted a purely technical career. I'm not interested in managing people - I tried project management for 9 months and hated it. I want to spend the rest of my working life at a keyboard, writing code.
So far, professionally, I have programmed mostly in Java. Ultimately I'd like to make a living from writing Clojure. Of all the languages I've learned so far, Clojure seems the most elegant to me. It's a language that rewards thought, and I like to think (my first degree was in philosophy).
